The FDA now issues the strictest warning on Avandia due to heart risks. In the New England Journal of Medicine, and article was written discussing the safety issues regarding Avandia (Rosiglitazone).

There was 40 clinical studies performed, and this extensive analysis raised concerns about the potential heart complications associated with Avandia. Avandia significantly increases risk of heart attack, so the FDA now recommends that all users talk to their doctor.
