Recall Issued for Fisher-Price 3-in-1 High Chairs

Today Fisher-Price, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission, issued a voluntary recall of the company’s 3-in-1 High Chairs to Booster™ due to a fall risk. According to the CPSC the seat can fall backwards from the recalled high chair if the booster seat release is unlatched while a child is in the chair posing a significant fall hazard to young children.

The CPSC has received a report of the seat back detaching resulting in the child falling out of the chair and suffering a skull fracture.

In all about 24,000 recalled high chairs were sold at Target locations throughout the nation from December of 2008 to March 2009 for about $100.

Parents in possession of the recalled chairs should immediately discontinue use of the chair and contact Fisher-Price for information about a free repair kit.
